The devastating news about Kobe Bryant has been extremely hard to digest. The Legend. The Icon. The Mamba.
On January 26, 2020 news reports spread like the wild fires in Northern California about a helicopter crash in Calabasas. The victims included college baseball coach John Altobelli, his daughter Alyssa Altobelli and wife, Keri Altobelli; girls’ basketball coach Christina Mauser; mom Sarah Chester and her 13-year-old daughter, Payton Chester; Pilot Ara Zobayan; and 13-year-old Gianna Bryant.
Gianna Bryant –my heart breaks to say either of their names– the promising protege of The GREAT himself in female form, that’s even more badass! What’s even more upsetting is that they were on their way to the Mamba Sports Academy where Kobe was planning to coach a tournament for the Lady Mavericks.
MAMBA FOREVER. MAMBA MENTALITY.
